Ghostbusters Ending: 8 Potential Clues For The Sequel
2. Zuul Is Coming
The post-credits scene shows the gang getting into some serious spectre-hunting in their new digs when Patty hears something strange on the tape recorder. You may at first suspect she's about to callback to that fart gag, but it's much more exciting than flatulence (believe it or not); she's heard the word "Zuul".
One of big bad Gozer's henchmen who possessed Dana in Ghostbusters 1984, the absence of Zuul (and his master for that matter) in the remake was pretty noticeable and seemed to be a show on Feig's part that he was doing things differently. Now he's established his world, however, the director's clearly happy to play with that iconography.
It'll probably be in a slightly different form to the original (let's hope it isn't a Star Trek Into Darkness/Spectre), although given that "There is no Dana, only Zuul" is one of the few iconic lines from the original to not get winked at in the first film, you can definitely expect that to come back.
