2. Homeland Wins Best Drama TV Series

Much like the Best Actor in a Drama TV Series category, this one seems as clear as day to me; though Homeland's second season mostly overcame its various road-blocks and went out with one Hell of a bang, was it the best dramatic show of the year? Not a chance; that distinction would go to Breaking Bad which, in 8 episodes, weaved so much tension and high-anxiety that the wait for those final 8 episodes has been (and continues to be) truly excruciating. Perhaps it's an inherent prejudice that the half-season was only 8 episodes long, yet to give Homeland the gong two years in a row doesn't seem right when it wasn't the best show two years in a row.
