Though Hogwarts can be dangerous at times, it’s a place many Harry Potter fans would love to go to. The food, the secret passageways, the grounds, and the various magical subjects are all fascinating.
As for the teachers, most of them are highly accomplished at their respective subjects and receive plenty of admiration from their students and colleagues. Yet there were still a number of Hogwarts professors with questionable morals throughout the series.
Professor Umbridge – for instance – was hated by pretty much everyone (apart from Argus Filch) due to her harsh punishments and lack of respect for the school’s traditions. Though Umbridge was definitely the worst of the lot, other teachers – such as Severus Snape, Gilderoy Lockhart, and Sybill Trelawney – were also unpopular amongst the students.
But even some of the most honourable professors – such as Albus Dumbledore and Rubeus Hagrid – committed terrible acts at times. Though these acts were often the result of a misjudgement, they still had drastic consequences.
As such, the Hogwarts professors were far from perfect when it came to caring for their students…
