The fact that one of the new decade's most anticipated films is a Jurassic Park movie clearly says a lot about the appeal of the prehistoric franchise, but it's also an example of just how excited fans are for its final chapter. And now, the upcoming film just became a bit more tangible.

Director Colin Trevorrow took to social media to mark the beginning of production on Jurassic World 3, posting a celebratory snap of a clapperboard and, in the process, confirming the title of the film.

Welcome to Jurassic World: Dominion.

Not only does Jurassic World: Dominion sound incredibly badass, it's a title that makes complete sense.

The word dominion refers to having control or sovereignty and, given how the previous entry in the franchise, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, concluded with the remaining dinosaurs establishing dominance on land that it now shares with man, it's pretty easy to see why it was ultimately chosen as the title of the third offering.

At this stage, little else is known about the film, other than the fact will follow in the footsteps of both Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom by bringing this trilogy to a close - and it will do so by celebrating how the overall story began, because Jurassic Park veterans Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum will be joining stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.
