Justice League Film: 10 Epic JLA Stories That Should Be Referenced

From the very moment that The Avengers unprecedented success was apparent, the opposing Justice League movie was beyond inevitable. Warner Bros. may as well have announced it the following day. Of course we know now with official certainty that come 2015, there'll be one more Superhero ensemble on the block vying for our attention. As a long standing DC fan, I'm excited. I did thoroughly enjoy The Avengers, but watching it actually made me pine for a fully realised Justice League movie. I guess I got my wish. And although the more I think about it the more I worry about its potential pitfalls, there's still a growing knot of excitement building toward what could potentially go right. Will Beall, the JL movie's screenwriter, has certainly had a long, illustrious back-catalog to pick through and pore over when crafting his adaptation. There have been innumerable takes on the Justice League throughout comic book history, some of them so seminal that failure to reference them in the first movie (for I assume Warner Bros. will try for more than one) could be considered by some as nothing short of sacrilege. So, I decided to take a look back at my comic book collection and compile a list of ten severely epic JLA-related DC story arcs that, in my view, should totally be borrowed from. So, ready? Let's get right on with it shall we?
