Not every game can be a winner.
In many ways, 2017 has been one of the all-time best years in gaming, with hits like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Horizon: Zero Dawn, Resident Evil 7 and Persona 5. Even various smaller titles have easily contended with bigger triple-A blockbusters, and to many, it feels like the year has done no wrong.
That said, the following titles prove quite the opposite. With the general quality of games being massively raised over the years, those that don't put in the effort just aren't going to make any worthwhile impressions.
Whilst some of the following are definitely quite bad, most still play solidly enough - yet they're victim to an incredibly feature-packed year. With so much attention being given to bigger games, many of these titles have simply ended up falling through the cracks.
Whether it be because the game is rubbish, or a simple lack of any sales, these are the games of 2017 that didn't make much of an impact and, unfortunately, ended up flopping.
