10 Trends That Are Killing Video Games
1. Terrible Games For Continuation
To keep franchises alive - albeit with an iron lung in intensive care - game companies push out something that is neither ready nor good enough for release. A good but extremely disappointing example of this would be Duke Nukem Forever. Duke fans waited too long to be dished out that pile of crap. The people who played and approved this game should be banished to a hole.
When a game comes out and precedes a great game or game series, it is expected to retain or exceed the previous games quality. This is sadly sometimes not the case. For what it gains in sales and franchise continuation, it loses in fan base and overall trust. I will be extremely cautious when the next Duke Nukem game comes out - as I am sure many will.
