Another trend that publishers use to nickel and dime gamers is to offer what I loosely call DLC or micro transactions. Whether it is horse armor or a new character skin they contribute nothing to game play whatsoever. The fact that these weren't included into the actual game is a mystery.

They trick the average gamer into think this minuscule change will drag you into the game again. It does drag you back but for a very small time until you are bored. Companies should worry more about substantial DLC instead of these useless items. Why they exist or where they started is somewhat unknown but you would be making a safe guess if you said the person or group that began it was greedy.
