10 Video Game Trailers That Spoiled WAY Too Much
1. Vergil Returns - Devil May Cry V
Though there was intense pre-release speculation that Vergil would appear in Devil May Cry 5, did Capcom really need to confirm it quite so blatantly in the game's marketing?
The E3 2018 trailer left many convinced that the mysterious hooded figure who rips off Nero's Devil Bringer arm was Vergil, but the final launch trailer dropped merely a week before the game's release stopped playing coy and just showed Vergil from behind.
Again, it wasn't exactly a huge shock to see Vergil back, but considering that he largely factors into the back-half of the game, it's a shame that Capcom so freely spoiled his return.
Though Capcom did admittedly give the final trailer a spoiler warning, they didn't include it in the trailer itself, but rather in the text of the YouTube description, ensuring most fans probably missed it in their excitement.
Capcom evidently wasn't bothered about keeping Vergil under wraps, as the spoiler warning even came with the teasing addendum that said spoilers "may be very motivating."
