10 Video Games You Can Expect At E3 2020
2. Horizon Zero Dawn Sequel
Horizon: Zero Dawn was one of the very best games of 2017. Coming from the developer behind the good-but-not-great Killzone franchise, it's fair to say expectations were in-check. The game released to critical acclaim, largely thanks to its stunning open-world, filled with incredible mechanical beasts and awesome moment-to-moment gameplay.
There's plenty of room for improvement however, with the first game suffering from regular poor lip-synching, side-characters all looking very similar, not much to do in the open-world besides fight beats, and the dull side-quests. If Guerrilla Games can improve upon these aspects of the original we'll be looking at a very special video game.
And we know for sure it's happening; voice actress Janina Gavankar recently let slip that shes returning for the sequel. Not only did Horizon: Zero Dawn sell extremely well for a new IP, but it created a new face for PlayStation in Aloy. It's a franchise that is very much a part of PlayStation's future and we can expect the sequel to release in 2021. A release alongside the PS5 next year is unlikely but not impossible, and that could be a huge system seller. Regardless, you can bet your house that we'll get the announcement at E3 2020.
