Kicking off the list is Kratos from Sony's God Of War franchise. First released in 2005 on the PS2, it eventually spawned six very successful sequels featuring the angry Spartan as the lead protagonist. God Of War is based very loosely on Greek mythology and centres around a fictional ancient Greece where Kratos must battle a huge range of fantastical creatures in order to avert disaster and save his world. Not surprisingly, being a Spartan warrior, Kratos can be a difficult character to relate to; he has some rather selfish motives and can be pretty morally ambiguous, revelling in extreme violence and bloodshed. All that aside though... just take a look at that body. Its insane.
