GTA V: 10 Reasons Why It Might Not Be Awesome
8. Increased Focus On Multiplayer

No one begrudged the introduction of multiplayer in GTA IV; it gave friends a chance at long last to take on each other in a massive, city wide playground. To see it disappear would be a big shame and likely hurt the game a lot. However, as the release date gets closer, worries are going the other way.
Games such as Halo, Call Of Duty and Battlefield all put their chips on multiplayer and while theres plenty of fun to be had, it has lead to a market where single players struggle to find satisfying journeys. GTA has always been a home to that, but with promises that the multiplayer will be as revolutionary as GTA III was for single player gaming, its fair to be a little sceptical.
Its unlikely this multiplayer focus will affect GTA V, but if things continue in this way it could seriously affect the balance of the series in the future.
