GTA V: 10 Reasons Why It Might Not Be Awesome
3. Same Old Story

So far, the plot of GTA V is under wraps, but from what weve been told it's the story of three men drawn to a life of crime in pursuit of money. Now obviously this is what the series is all about, but isn't it getting a little tired now? I think its fair to say that Niko's journey through Liberty City successfully dissected the American Dream and we know from that games expansions that Rockstar are incredibly capable of making a story away from that idea.
Plenty of people don't care much about the nuances of the GTA story, but for every player content with mowing down pedestrians, theres one eager to continue the story. And I'd wager many would love to be presented with something a bit different from whats been well trodden before.
The main worry in story comes from the focus put on everything else. Obviously gameplay should be king, but if so much effort is being put into graphics, mini games, a large map, multiplayer etc. could story be sacrificed? I'm sure itll turn OK, but given that the characters are variations on what we've seen before, something astounding is far from certain.
