Mortal Kombat 11 came out in April 2019, and quickly became the best-selling game of the year so far. The game was well-received by critics and fans alike for its (mostly) balanced gameplay, predictably gory animations and overall polish.
However, MK 11 wasn't perfect, as we'll touch upon in this article. The shortcomings of Mortal Kombat 11 can help Injustice 3 be a better game, and one thing is for sure: Injustice 3 is an inevitability.
The Injustice series came from the humble beginnings of Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe, and has become a massive franchise for NetherRealm, selling millions of copies. That means it has firmly cemented its place as the studio's second franchise, alternating years with Mortal Kombat- which is to say that the next game likely coming from NetherRealm is Injustice 3.
In that scenario, Injustice 3 will be NetherRealm's first title on the next generation of consoles. That alone is exciting, but when you take into account everything the game could learn from Mortal Kombat 11, you have one of next-generation's most anticipated games.
Let's get down to business.
