Kenny Omega Teases AEW Video Game Announcement
Is an All Elite game incoming before the end of 2019?
Kenny Omega claimed during a fan Q&A session that there "might be something to announce by the end of the year" about an official AEW video game.
The AEW man was painting in broad strokes with his comments, but they will get gamers excited to get their mitts on a WWE 2K alternative talking. Omega was responding to a fan question at Starrcast III, and also said he'd been working hard personally to make the video game project a reality.
In a funny moment, Nick Jackson turned to Kenny and said, "You want to take this one?" when the question was posed. Others in the Chicago crowd seemed enthused by the idea that AEW will launch a game at some point next year. It's certainly a logical step once the company is more established and has a heavy TV presence.
It's only a matter of time before rumours start that Yukes (who recently severed ties with 2K and were replaced by Visual Concepts) will come on board to make AEW: The Video Game happen. Right now, Omega's comments are the only concrete info fans have to go on.
