NBA 2K18: 10 Players Who Should Get A Stat Boost
5. Isaiah Thomas - Boston Celtics
2016/17 was the definition of a breakout year for Isaiah Thomas. The diminutive Celtics point guard led his team deep into the playoffs for the first time in years, before they were (somewhat inevitably) eliminated by LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Reaching the Eastern Conference finals wasn't Thomas' only accolade; he considerably upped his average scoring rate from 22.2 to 28.9 points per game, and enjoyed his best year in terms of field goal percentage (a telling sign of improved shot-selection).
He also displayed remarkable maturity and strength in the first round of the playoffs, leading his team to victory over the Chicago Bulls despite the sudden death of his sister in a car accident.
Thomas was rated a rather modest 85 on NBA 2K17, but should see that number increase by a fair margin in the upcoming instalment.
