Sting Is WWE 2K15 Pre-Order Bonus?

Sting to become the last big name WCW wrestler to feature in a WWE video game?

There are tentative plans for Sting to be included in the WWE 2K15 video game as a pre-order bonus, reports WrestlingDVDNews.com. This is an expected development that most expected since Sting began talks about joining the WWE earlier this year. The 55-year-old is the last remnant of WCW that never joined WWE since it folded in 2001 and therefore has become the biggest star never included in a WWE video game. It's likely Sting's inclusion in the game will be revealed soon. Meanwhile a new WWE produced DVD chronicling the career of former NWA/WCW legend Sting is set to be released on DVD & Blu-Ray in the US on September 23 and in the UK on September 29th. WrestlingDVDNews.com has obtained the synopsis of the DVD:
The Sting DVD chronicles his entire career from his Mid-South days as part of the Blade-Runners (with Ultimate Warrior) through his last WCW match vs. Ric Flair on the very last episode of WCW Monday Nitro (3/26/01). The video features more than two dozen matches in total, many never before released on DVD. This includes a combination of well-known memorable matches, as well as some fairly obscure matches including encounters with Vader, Cactus Jack, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair. In addition, packages throughout the title will help tell the story of Sting€™s career evolution.
Earlier in the week, WWE sent out a survey to some fans where they asked them about what DVDs they might want to see in the future. That would likely meant that the September DVD release would only be a video showcasing Sting's best matches and moments rather than a one or two hour documentary style feature that a lot of WWE DVDs have. We reported earlier in the week that Sting has been offered a Legends Deal, which is below what he was seeking, but it could be all that WWE is willing to pay him at this point. He's in his mid-50s and may have no interest in wrestling, so it makes sense on WWE's end. There have been so many different stories about what is or isn't in the works with Sting. Releasing a DVD that includes a lot of his best matches is a good step in the right direction. A documentary would be great too. All of it could lead to him appearing on-screen as well although that may not take place until the new year. We'll continue to have updates on Sting's negotiations with WWE and pass along any significant updates along to you.
