10 Great TV Shows With An Even Better Soundtrack

9. Stranger Things

Okay, okay, maybe Stranger Things' soundtrack is BETTER than the show itself, but surely we can all agree that it's pretty special, right?

Stranger Things walks a thin line. It perfectly balances '80s nostalgia with '80s cheesiness, perfectly blends horror with sci-fi and action with teen drama, and it manages to tell a story of epic, apocalyptic proportions without ever feeling too heavy to binge.

In short, it's entirely deserving of such unprecedented popularity.

Given its 1980s setting, Stranger Things also had to get its soundtrack just right, because there's plenty of '80s anthems that really wouldn't suit the tone of the show. Luckily, the brains behind the show knew just which tracks were needed, and delivered in force.

With songs by The Police, Duran Duran, Toto, The Clash, the Bangles and Bon Jovi, Stranger Things delivers a musical powerhouse of '80s charm, with plenty of atmospheric synth for those moments in between.

To top it all off, for those who've seen season 3, who could ever forget the moment where Dustin sings Limahl's Never Ending Story through the radio? Outstanding television, and an outstanding soundtrack.
