10 Musicians Who Should Release More Music

9. Jane's Addiction

The alternative boom of the early '90s may not have happened without Jane's Addiction. For as weird as they were in their time, songs like "Mountain Song" and "Stop!" were just weird enough to land them a spot amongst fellow luminaries from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Pearl Jam. The band have a few bonafied classics under their belt, but sometimes it feels like they can't be asked to work together.

Granted, most of the members have been busy, with Dave Navarro becoming a guitar god in his own right as well as a reality TV star. Even when they stepped away from the traditional rock band role, singer Perry Farrell made sure their alt-rock soul stayed alive by founding Lollapalooza, which turned into one of the biggest music festivals in the United States.

Though the band has reunited since their breakup in the early '90s, we haven't heard any new music from the collective since 2011, with everyone out doing their own thing. While they may want to distance themselves from the past, their few reunion albums show that they still have their chops and can lay down a funky groove when they want to. Since Jane's Addiction never really got their just due back in their prime, it's time for these '90s rockers to return to form and show all the new faces of alt rock how it's done.
