Help Donate to Aurora Victims And Receive Original Hans Zimmer Composition

Academy Award-winning composer of The Lion King, Gladiator, Inception, and The Dark Knight trilogy has composed a new song called "Aurora".

Hans Zimmer, Academy Award-winning composer of The Lion King, Gladiator, Inception, and The Dark Knight trilogy has composed a new song called "Aurora". It is dedicated to those who lost their lives and were affected by the tragedy in Aurora, Colorado. Zimmer went to his London studio and recorded the eight and a half minute song in the days following the shooting. The song can be purchased for as cheap as $0.10 but donations can be made up to $2,500. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Aurora Victim Relief organization through GivingFirst.org. In typical Zimmer fashion, the string-heavy piece is beautiful and worth buying on its own, and the cause only sweetens the deal. A small sample of the song can be heard on the website. Zimmer is not the only person from the production helping out the victims of the shooting. Christian Bale recently visited the Medical Center of Aurora for over two hours meeting with seven patients who were injured in the shooting, along with doctors and other hospital personnel. Warner Brothers has already announced that it will donate a large percentage of the box office to Aurora. The song can be sampled and purchased here. It will be available on iTunes sometime in the future.
