6. iPhone Thief

Smartphones are common targets for thieves, and there have been a number of security apps created to help against this. This photo of an iPhone thief was accidentally taken after several unsuccessful password attempts, then uploaded directly to the original owner's account. The GPS location was also sent, giving solid evidence for police to find the suspect.

5. Motorbike Robbery

A Canadian couple who were hoping to capture their motorbike ride through Guatemala using a helmet cam inadvertently recorded their robbery. Two masked men approached them holding guns, before waving machetes and stealing all their possessions (except the bike itself).
