25 Profiles You Should Be Following On Twitter

Twitter has hit a huge amount of users, and with that comes a huge amount of rubbish. This list gives you some of the goodies to follow.

In the last few years, Twitter has become a vital part of the way in which we go about our daily lives. For some people, it's more important than others, and for some luck souls, it's even their jobs. For me, I use it to moan, self advertise and follow matters that are important to me. For example, Sickopedia. Over those years though, there have been some truly outstanding tweets that have shed light on a controversial matter, made you laugh to the high heavens, or even enlightened you beyond your mortal extent.

25. Sickipedia

@Sickipedia Sickipedia is one of those profiles you go to in the morning for a bit of early-day humour. Beware they have a knack for literally being quite sick in their posts, and it's not someone to follow if you have a very politically correct view on the world. Or lack a sense of humour.

24. HAL 9000

Kodak is suing Samsung over patents. Bad move Kodak, I am fairly certain Apple has "suing Samsung over patents" patented €” HAL 9000 (@HAL9000_) January 19, 2012
HAL 9000 is the loveable, if not slightly disturbed antagonist of 2001: A Space Odyssey. HAL on twitter is a little more friendly, and prone to controversial commenting on technology, and giants of the corporate world.

23. William Shatner

@tom_barron my day is going well, Tom. Thank you. €” William Shatner (@WilliamShatner) December 19, 2011
William Shatner is someone that needs no introduction, or rather he does, As Captain James T Kirk of the USS Enterprise. Shat is all round nice guy in the Twitterverse, and isn't ashamed of a little self advertising. Nor is he ashamed of answering myself on Twitter with the response above. Awesome.

22. Spider-Man

Saved this lady last night, she was all "OMG I love you, named my son after you! Logan!" I was like, "Uh huh, right. ...Bub." Sigh. €” Spider-Man (@_Spiderman) June 20, 2011
Does whatever a spider can, including tweeting on the job. Needless to say, Spidey on Twitter is a little bit one sided, clearly the 'actor' that portrays him focusses more upon the nerdy 'Everyone thinks Spidey is a weed' kind of character we all know, and love...

21. Uber Facts

There will be a leap-second on June 30th, meaning the time will be 11:59:60 PM right before midnight. €” UberFacts (@UberFacts) June 16, 2012
No Twitter list would be complete without at least one Facts profile. Again, it sort of speaks for itself, tweeting some very well known, and some of the most obscure facts floating around on the internet. Admittedly you'll question some of them, but Twitter has given them 'Verified' status, so they can't be that wrong...
