Role: Video Presenter and Writer (Diet and Fitness YouTube Channel)
Location: Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, UK
WhatCulture.com is a multi-faceted entertainment website and network of YouTube channels. We provide thoughtful, informative articles, features and videos to an ever-expanding audience of 10 million unique users each month.
We are seeking an ambitious, talented, candidate to join our team and help us to develop and grow our network of YouTube channels by branching out into a new and exciting area for the company.
You will play a key role in developing an audience based around Diet, and Fitness and help us shape the channel from the ground up.
Knowledge - For this role, you MUST have a substantial knowledge base of the all things diet and fitness, from exercise techniques, to nutritional information.
Confidence in both yourself and your ability - Not just because shrinking violets make for terrible videos, but because you may be faced with shoots in public situations or busy studios.
Uniqueness - We want characters and people that stand out. It's been the distinctive charm of our current presenters that has helped set our channels apart, and that's something we're keen to build on.
A lot of ideas - Our Diet and Fitness channel will run regular and original programming. You will be needed to help shape this content.
Be open to collaboration - Be it with established, or up-and-coming video personalities, being open to colloboration is a must.
As with any job, being well organised is vital, and with being involved in an extension of our existing website a good writing style is also important. You'll occasionally be tasked with restructuring some of our existing written content into an audio or video package, so understanding what will and won't translate from the page (and how to put it in your own style) is key.
It would be advantageous if you also had some form of knowledge of film, and television, gaming, comics, and/or wrestling.
