There is just something about a good heel that draws the attention of the masses. Whether it be in MMA, WWE, or sports in general, a great heel will generate heat from the fans, and make the sporting event more interesting.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. would be the perfect example of this in the combat sports world. He talks trash, acts cocky, arrogant, and then you pay to watch his fights. Whether this is to see him back up his trash talk or see his face punched in, no one can deny it makes people tune in.

Just to clarify, this list is composed of people who generate heat towards themselves in the MMA world. Whether it be to promote a fight, get under an opponent's skin, or perhaps because of personality and/or outside instances, these fighters have all generated heat from the fans.

Not all the fighters on this list would even be considered “heels” by many. Some would even be considered fan favorites. However, one thing each of these fighters have in common is that they draw eyes towards them - often for the wrong reasons.

10. Brock Lesnar

The heat with Brock Lesnar comes from a couple of things. For one, he was given a title shot in only his third UFC fight, leading many fans to believe he was given preferential treatment by Dana White.

Second came from his post fight interview after his victory over Frank Mir at UFC 100. Lesnar went off on Mir following his second round TKO victory claiming, “Mir had a horseshoe up his ass, and I pulled the son of a b*tch out and hit him over the head with it!” After this, Lesnar even took aim at his sponsor Bud Lite: “I’m going to go home and drink a Coors Light because Bud Lite won’t pay me nothing.” To this day, the post fight speech is remembered as one of the best ever, perhaps for the wrong reasons.

Follow all of this up with a positive test for steroids after his return win at UFC 200, his shoving of Daniel Cormier at UFC 225, and his proclamation at that same event that the Heavyweight division was a disaster filled with pieces of s**t, and you have yourself some heat.

Of course, part of this could simply be that he looks like Goliath and everyone wants to cheer for David.

The Iron Sheik once said, "DON'T BE A F****** JABRONI!" That advice changed my life, as I am in fact now standing here as definitely not a jabroni. Thanks for reading my stuff! #HTX Matthew 11:28
