7. Tony Ferguson
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bovVOwt0dRg Tony Ferguson took out a tough competitor in Abel Trujillo, and did so by submission, in the process picking up $48,000. That includes a $24,000 win bonus. Ferguson has now put together a solid win streak at lightweight, where the title picture is clearing. While he's not exactly close to a title shot, he's no longer as far from it as he once was - and before you chime in with a "Thanks, Captain Obvious!" - that's not just about the win. A couple of contenders in the division (Eddie Alvarez, Edson Barboza) were knocked back recently by Donald Cerrone, Bobby Green just fell to Barboza, Benson Henderson is out of the picture for the first time in a while... yes, lightweight is suddenly wide open. Ferguson just needs to be patient and keep winning. His opponent, Trujillo, banked $14,000 for the night.
