5 Moments That Made Ronda Rousey A UFC Legend (And 5 She Wishes We’d Forget)

8. Forget: Losing The Road House Gig

Back in 2015, it was reported that Ronda Rousey was set to star in a remake of the Patrick Swayze film, Road House. At the time, she was an undefeated fighter at the height of her popularity. Rousey had been featured in films before, but this would be her first shot at a lead role.

However, the movie was never made. Production delays were cited among the reasons — though it was also implied that public interest had diminished following her upset loss to Holm.

Had she been able to defeat Holly Holm, Rousey may have become the next John Dalton. Though she probably wouldn't have won an Oscar for her work, playing the lead role in a major motion picture would have been a lucrative endeavor. It's quite possible that her loss at UFC 193 cost her more than her UFC title.

At this point, Rousey probably wishes everyone would simply forget about the Road House gig. Fortunately, a lot of folks already have.
