Rickie Lambert is Southampton's top goalscorer at present with 8 strikes for the Premier League strugglers. The former Bristol, Stockport County and Rochdale forward has been a rare shining light in an otherwise dim first half to the season for the Saint's, and they could end up losing their prized asset if they fail to reverse their Premier League fortunes. Paul Lambert was linked with a move for the striker back in August but ended up settling for Christian Benteke from Genk instead. Lambert could be tempted to go in with another offer for the forward, especially as Darren Bent and Gabby Abonlahor are still injured. Source(s):
