2. Stevan Jovetic

Liverpool have been linked with the Montenegrin striker ever since 2009, and former Anfield boss Rafael Benitez's autobiography "Champions League Dreams" referred to the Spaniards desire to buy the forward while he was in charge. Liverpool pushed Manchester United all the way in the 2008/09 title race and Benitez claims his side may have won their first Premier League trophy had unpopular owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett freed up sufficient transfer funds to land Jovetic, whom Benitez had identified as the man he wanted to partner Fernando Torres with. The Fiortentina forward has since gone on to prove that he would have been a good acquisition at Anfield in the years that have followed. He has scored 33 times in the 86 appearances he has made since 2009. Now that Liverpool have owners who are more reciprocal to handing their manager transfer funds, Jovetic could be back on the radar at Anfield. Source(s):
