Liverpool Transfers: 5 Players That Can Inspire European Success

2. David Villa

David villa Barcelona striker David Villa, has been linked with a move to London clubs Tottenham and Arsenal, who are both looking into the possibility of signing the Spaniard this summer. Whilst the fierce North London rivals continue to be rumoured with the player, if Liverpool stumped up the right amount they could easily have an experienced striker such as Villa in their squad this summer. Whilst it would be unlikely he would choose Liverpool over Champions League side Arsenal, if The Reds offered him a lucrative deal, Villa would find it difficult to say no, especially with new signing Neymar set to push him out of the starting line up at the Nou Camp. The 31-year-old has found life fairly difficult after recovering from a broken leg, which kept him out for eight months. The Spaniard scored just nine goals in 27 La Liga games last season for the Spanish champions but despite his poor season the striker attracting interest from several Premier League clubs. It is believed that the player is available for a fee of £12 million a fee which would be very affordable to Liverpoold having sold Andy Carroll to West Ham for £15 million. One of the best things about Villa is his European experience having played at the highest level for the majority of his career. His experience can not only influence Liverpool€™s European campaign, but it can also help him inspire youngsters as well potentially tutoring the likes of Raheem Sterling and other Liverpool wingers and attackers.
