Liverpool Transfers: 5 Replacements For Luis Suarez

3. Edin Dzeko

Another striker on the fringes at his current club is Manchester City's Edin Dzeko. He has only made four full appearances for the Premier League champions this season and has only been in contention recently due to the absence of Sergio Aguero. The former Wolfsburg striker has scored 11 times this season, with the majority of those coming off the bench. Dzeko had a more integral role in Roberto Mancini's squad last season following the self-imposed exile of Carlos Tevez, but the Argentinian's return saw Dzeko fall back down the pecking order, and last May it was reported that the Bosnian had informed his agent to find him another club. That club could be Liverpool - if Dzeko was looking for regular first-team action and Liverpool had a vacancy in the striking department, the two would appear to be a good match.
