Man Utd Transfers: 5 Euro U21 Stars David Moyes Needs To Sign

2. Kevin Strootman

Another Dutch star who shone at this year's U21 European Champions and also on United's radar is PSV Eindhoven midfielder Kevin Strootman. The 23-year old was part of Cor Pot's 23-man squad this year and was eligible to play due to the rule that players born no earlier than 1 January 1990 are allowed to contest the tournament. The central midfielder has been tipped with a move to Old Trafford for months now and United's chief scout Jim Lawler has watched him in action in the past. The star has admitted he wants to play in the Premier League, seemingly giving the Premier League champions the green light to make a move for his signature. He has already earned 18 caps for Holland at senior level and has earned himself a reputation as a tough-tackling box-to-box midfielder, something of which the Reds have badly lacked in their engine room ever since the departure of Roy Keane. He also has good vision and is a brilliant passer of the ball, helping him earn comparisons to the retired Paul Scholes, and he'd be a fantastic addition at Old Trafford.
