UFC Fight Night 147 Predictions

5. Danny Roberts Vs. Claudio Silva

'Hot Chocolate' Danny Roberts is an interesting conundrum to say the least. The British welterweight not only has exceptional athletic ability, but he's also got a pretty good fight IQ too. This might sound like something all fighters should have, but it's actually quite a rare quality.

The problem with Roberts is the lack of consistency in his performances. While he's destroyed the likes of Oliver Enkamp and Bobby Nash, he's also lost fights to Nordine Taleb and Mike Perry.

In hindsight, these are definitely two fights that he should've won, so we really need to see an improvement from him. Like Roberts, his opponent, Claudio Silva, is another veteran of the British regional circuit and has some very slick grappling if it gets to the ground.

'Hannibal' is also undefeated inside UFC, owning victories over Leon Edwards and Taleb. However, his inactivity (he's had one fight since November 2014), age and general slowness in every other aspect of his game other than his grappling could be his downfall against someone like Roberts.

Although he's failed to live up to potential in previous fights, as long as Roberts is able to keep the fight standing and disengage from any types of grappling exchanges he should be able to earn the victory.
