10 Categoric Reasons Why The Simpsons Is Better Than Family Guy

Woo-hoo!

The Simpsons vs. Family Guy debate has been raging for decades now, with the recent crossover lightly poking the fire. But despite all the discussion no general consensus has been reached. And frankly, there likely never will be any agreement - but it's worth trying to figure it out, arguing and debating, because, after all, they're shows we love. Now, keep in mind that the question here is "which is better?" not "while gives you more laugh out loud moments." That may seem odd when talking about comedies, but there are a lot of other factors in judging the two shows. Family Guy tells you right in its opening sequence that the aim is to make you both laugh and cry, after all. The Simpsons is well known for producing some heart-warming, tear-jerking moments; both have the ability to go the dramatic route as well as the comedic. In the end, however, one show comes out on top - and that's the one featuring Matt Groening's yellow clan. It trumps Seth MacFarlane's Griffin family, and there are a multitude of reasons why. We're going to look at then of those, and fully expect some opposing views. That's part of the fun, really. Be sure to add your own preference in the comments, but first, lets get to ten reasons why The Simpsons is better than Family Guy.
