15. Maisie Williams May Star In The Last Of Us Adaptation

Sam Raimi is teaming up with Naughty Dog and Screen Gems for a big-screen adaptation of the hit 2013 video game The Last Of Us, and are reportedly looking at Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams to play Ellie. For those unfamiliar, Ellie is a young girl who's escorted across the United States by a damaged man named Joel, who protects her from zombie-like cannibalistic monsters that have taken over the disease-ravaged United States. Raimi is producing the film, while Neil Druckmann, the writer of the game and creative director of Naughty Dog, is penning the script. During the Screen Gems panel at SDCC, Druckmann dropped Williams' name while speaking about the project. They would not go into details, but stated that they've met with Williams for the role. Now, this doesn't mean that she has been cast, or is even in talks, but a meeting with the producers is definitely a good sign, and Williams' role as Arya Stark on the hit HBO series proves that she could be a perfect fit for the material.
