3. The Inbetweeners

Let's ignore the fact that the Inbetweeners did technically remain on our screens for one very unfortunate series thanks to the deplorable American remake two years after its conclusion back in 2012, and instead remember the original British comedy, which aired for three seasons between 2008 and 2010. Following Sixth Form students Will (Simon Bird), Simon (Joe Thomas), Neil (Blake Harrison) and Jay (James Buckley), the Inbetweeners utilized school-boy humour and cringe-worthy comedy as the boys evolved (or in some cases regressed) through that crucial transition of adolescence to manhood. The well-grounded sitcom was praised for its realistic and relatable portrayal of the British educational system and the antics involved within, and spawned a film back in 2011, with a sequel planned for release in 2014. Though we're pleased it will be back on the big screen, we do miss the small screen capers and sadly it looks as though we will have to go to cinemas if we want to keep up to date with the boy's antics after leaving college for university. It's just not quite the same on the big screen, somehow...
