It's hard to believe that when Arrow debuted all the way back in 2012, many viewers had never heard of the Emerald Archer. But after an astounding eight-season run, it's safe to say Oliver Queen is now a household name and the series has become one of the most successful DC adaptations ever.
Not only was Arrow more successful than anyone would have ever imagined, it laid the groundwork for a shared universe. It lead to a slew of new series including Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and The Flash (with several more shows in the works). It also adapted the most daunting comic crossover ever, Crisis on Infinite Earths, which served as the series' gut-wrechning finale. And with the spinoff, Green Arrow & The Canaries, on the way, it's clear we are still feeling the show's influence.
What's also great about the CW series was that it introduced many iconic superheroes and supervillains into live-action including Merlyn, Deadshot, and Deathstroke. But after 170 episodes, it's tricky to remember every baddie the masterclass bowman faced, every love interest he had, and every sidekick he teamed up with.
