DC Universe: What Comics To Read Before It Releases
1. The New Teen Titans
Following the brief Teen Titans runs in the 60s and 70s, the team are brought into their most celebrated series in the 80s.
This graphic novel is really a landmark book for the team, highlighting their defining adventures, the most famous of which being 'The Judas Contract' featuring the villain Deathstroke in one of the Titan's greatest stories.
Other than that tale, the book depicts the teens as they explore the social issues of the era and battle a multitude of antagonists. The comic is not only a defining book for the team itself but also Dick Grayson, with the character finally stepping out from under the shadow of the Bat and carving out the new identity: Nightwing.
While the show seemingly may not share the same essence of this or any other Titans books, the New Teen Titans is one of the mediums best and is most definitely worth a read for fans of the team.
