Game Of Thrones Season 8: Ranking Every Character Worst To Best

Game of Thrones is over, but how did each major character fare?

The ash has settled, the snow has started to melt, and the first signs of spring are starting to creep in. Game of Thrones Season 8 is over, and so too is the series as a whole.

The final season has proved extremely divisive, to put it mildly, with plenty of fan anger aimed at the decisions made by showrunners David Benioff & D.B. Weiss. While some of that was due to the pacing and internal logic of the show seemingly being broken, at least according to those critics, some of it also came from their handling of these characters.

After eight years, these characters are loved by fans (or at least we love to hate them), so their treatment is always going to be under scrutiny, and it's impossible to please everyone. It's similarly impossible to service just every character too, such is the sprawling nature of the cast and the fact there were only six episodes, but which ones were really harsh done by, and which ones soared as Game of Thrones came to an end?

Contains spoilers.

Gilly didn't particularly do anything wrong in Season 8. It's just that she didn't really do anything. As ever, her role was mostly just to stand beside Sam, and while her goodbye to Jon Snow - where she revealed they'd name their child after him if it's a boy - was a nice moment, there's not much more to recall besides that.
