10 Awesome UFC Fighters Who Went On Terrible Runs

9. Joanna Jędrzejczyk

The title scene in any UFC division can change its complexion seemingly overnight.

That's what happened when former Strawweight Champion, Joanna Jędrzejczyk, lost her title at UFC 217 in 2017.

Up until this point the champ had bullied each of her first eight opponents inside the Octagon and didn't look like giving up her crown any time soon.

That's until Rose Namajunas put Jędrzejczyk in her place and knocked her out in the first round. Losing the rematch then pushed the once dominant champion to the outskirts of the title picture and forced her to start building from the ground up.

She would claim a moralising victory over Tecia Torres, before again being thwarted by her old adversary Valentina Shevchenko for the vacant Flyweight Championship.

She did pick up a victory in her latest battle at UFC Fight Night in October - this time against Michelle Waterson - but that once impenetrable 8-0 UFC record, now stands at a modest 10-3.

She has a long way to go in order to reestablish herself as a serious threat to Zhang Weili's title reign, but class is permanent - so they say.
