10 Best Pound-For-Pound Fighters Currently In The UFC

9. Tony Ferguson

By the end of 2020, there's a very real possibility that Tony Ferguson's resume will possess victories over Kevin Lee, Edson Barboza, Rafael dos Anjos, Anthony Pettis, Donald Cerrone, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor.

That's insane.

Those last two names are obviously pending, but if anyone can topple 'The Eagle', the Boogeyman of the UFC definitely looks best placed to do so at UFC 249, and that could set up a showdown with the 'Notorious' one further down the line.

With a mix of unorthodox striking and a fondness for taking his rivals involuntarily to the ground, Ferguson possesses the potential to be dangerous in any situation a fighter can find themselves in inside of the Octagon.

He also has a pair of hands which look as though they are fifteen sizes too big for his own body. These freakish mitts tend to sit at the end of a hook or straight which - more often than not - puts the man opposite him flat on his arse... or worse.

Truly, in terms of Lightweights, you could argue that in any other era Ferguson would be the undisputed king of the mountain. So, it's just unfortunate that he's currently turning lights out - with both his club fists and legendary d'arce chokes - at a time when the Lightweight division has never looked so stacked.

His position at the top of his division isn't guaranteed, but a place in our P4P top ten most certainly is.
