The Welterweight division, alongside the aforementioned Lightweight division, is probably the most competitive weight-class in all of the UFC today.

Jorge Masvidal, Colby Covington, Donald Cerrone, Conor McGregor, Stephen Thompson, Tyron Woodley and Leon Edwards are all names who are capable of toppling anyone on their day.

Yet, who currently sits atop this dangerous heap?

UFC's first ever African-born Champion, Kamaru Usman.

Usman can honestly claim to being one of the most suffocating fighters in the company and his ability to rag doll opponents around the cage - as he demonstrated against a specialist grappler in Woodley - is pretty much unmatched.

However, Usman is not simply a one-dimensional mauler. He has routinely demonstrated what level of insane power he is equipped with in his stand-up game and has sparked out the likes of Covington and Sergio Moraes during his current UFC tenure.

If Usman can continue this fine form - going undefeated inside of the UFC Octagon - and put away Masvidal in their speculated International Fight Week clash, he'll be well on his way to establishing himself as the greatest Welterweight since Georges St. Pierre left the weight behind in 2013... he may even climb a few spots up this list, too.
