10 British MMA Stars You Need To Know

8. Ryan Scope

Here's another fighter who is on the cusp of realising their undoubted potential inside of a cage.

Much like Nathan Greyson, Ryan Scope is coming off the back of two straight defeats in his first two appearances for Bellator since debuting for the company in 2019.

Yet, that doesn't tell the full story.

Scope came into Bellator as one of the hottest properties in British MMA, amassing an impressive 9-1 record as a pro and many of those victories came via TKO or vicious triangle/rear-naked choke. So, it's obvious that the 28 year-old is more than capable of handling himself in the Lightweight division.

It should also be noted that one of those Bellator losses came from a desperately close split decision to Patricky 'Pitbull' Freire and his TKO defeat at the hands of the experienced Peter Queally was nothing to be ashamed of either.

There's still time for Scope to reaffirm himself as a force in Bellator and if he gets a couple of victories under his belt in 2020, he could still be the shining British light in Bellator's Lightweight division.

The Sunderland native may be down right now, but he's not out by a long shot.
