9. Kim Couture & Randy Couture
Despite the fact that she was trained by (and married to) UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture, Kim 'Sugar-Free' Couture struggled as a mixed martial artist. The Couture named helped generate some interest in her career, but Kim found wins very hard to come by. She would finish her MMA run with a less than stellar record of 3-8.
Kim was Randy's third wife, though the marriage did not last. The pair officially divorced in 2009. However, though their union had ended, 'The Natural' continued to assist his ex-wife with her career for a period afterward.
Xtreme Couture (Randy's team) trained several great fighters over the years, so Kim Couture's struggles likely had more to do with her own limitations as opposed to poor coaching on the part of the team.
Whatever the case, this is not an example of a successful partnership in either capacity.
