10 Things You Didn’t Know About Conor McGregor

9. He Was Asked To Be A James Bond Villian

Given how famous he's become, it's a little surprising that Conor McGregor has never starred in a major motion picture or at least made a cameo appearance. In fact, he's only appeared (as himself) in a series of documentaries about his life and a 2017 comedy short called The 13th Jockey.

Things could have been different. According to McGregor, Hollywood has indeed come knocking. Back in 2015, the Irishman claimed that he was asked to audition to a be villain in the James Bond flick, Spectre. However, McGregor claimed that he wasn't interested in serious roles.

With his maniacal laugh and sinister stare, it isn't hard to picture the former UFC champ as a Bond villain, but apparently it wasn't meant to be.

Though it's unclear what role he was asked to play (or who specifically asked him), Mr. Hinx, a muscular assassin played by Dave Bautista, would seem to have made the most sense.
