10 UFC Prodigies Who Didn't Live Up To The Billing

9. Vinicius Kappke De Queiroz

If in your homeland, you have amassed a dominant record and slayed all who stood before you, it's surely only a matter of time before the big time players stand up and take notice. The only problem is the level of competition isn't exactly competitive to a world class degree in all four corners of the globe.

So when a talent is finally brought over to UFC after causing a fuss over in another continent, a fighter's standard of talent can be exposed veeeeeeery quickly.

Case in point, Vinicius Kappke De Queiroz.

After slaughtering the best that his native Brazil had to offer - winning his first bout at the age of 20 and stringing a run of first round KOs together - the Chute Boxer came into the UFC with all the confidence of a man who knew he could conquer the company.

Shame that lasted all of about a round as the Brazilian was gassed out early on at UFC 120 and scrambled to stay in the fight from there on out. He would finally be choked out by Rob Broughton in the third round.

To further add to the underwhelming showing, Queiroz would then have his failing of a pre-fight drug test revealed and was booted out before his cheque had even been cashed.
