7 Incredibly Heated UFC Press Conferences

5. UFC 25th Anniversary Press Conference

With the upcoming 25th anniversary of combat sport's biggest promotion, surely there will have been something to kickstart a conversation.

Well, that came in the form of not one but two, heated altercations. T.J. Dillashaw and Cody Garbrandt renewed their feud, while Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington began theirs. Dillashaw and Garbrandt, former Team Alpha Male teammates, had their first bout ending in a TKO loss for Garbrandt, in which Dillashaw became champion. The hostility shared between them (such as Garbrandt accusing Dillashaw of taking performance-enhancing drugs) wasn't resolved after the fight, which only served to surface again during this press conference.

Dillashaw fired the first salvo, by saying the same result will occur in the second bout. Things, as expected, quickly exacerbated, with Garbrandt mentioning Dillashaw's lack of will to defend his title. A few expletives were mixed into their verbal exchanges, which showcased that Cody still had 'no love' towards his former teammate.

As for Usman and Covington, this was only the beginning of their legitimate hatred for one another. Covington, in prime heel form, began by saying he owed Brazilian fight fans another great show. Usman quickly interjected, mentioning that Covington was just a tough guy on camera, and wasn't willing to confront him backstage with his remarks. Covington directly attacked Usman's style, by calling him boring, with Usman saying they live close enough to resolve their conflict if Covington really wanted to.

It's hard to believe that their rivalry, beginning from this presser, only intensified from here, before finally culminating at UFC 245. Still, it doesn't seem like they'll be sparring together in the gym anytime soon.
