10 Blatant WWE Cash Grabs
8. Rey Mysterio's Masks
Much like Finn Bálor, Vince McMahon's eyes must have lit up when he laid them on the masked luchador for the first time.
Of course, Rey Mysterio was a once-in-a-lifetime talent and his ability in the ring had to be seen to be believed. However, it was his look which truly set him apart from everyone else in the company and the boss knew he could make an absolute fortune from his appearance alone.
His now iconic mask and gear - with its ever-changing colour scheme - soon became hot property for every new WWE fan that the 'Master of the 619' had accrued upon his arrival in the company.
This unrivalled popularity led to droves of youngsters equipping themselves with masks in the hope that Mysterio would greet them with one of his signature interactions.
It's also no surprise to hear that McMahon himself requested that Mysterio wear his mask again, after spending some time without it post-Kevin Nash unmasking in WCW and this decision led to Mysterio becoming one of the most marketable superstars in WWE's rich history of colourful characters.
It's also a recipe for success that the company have tried to replicate in recent years with the likes of Kalisto and Sin Cara, yet that lightning didn't strike twice and Mysterio eventually returned to the company to take up his mantle as the most popular masked star in wrestling history.
