10 Booking Steps For WWE Raw (30th Sept)

Cesaro Cedric Alexander Raw

You've never known a week like this, have you?

I mean, not in wrestling at least. Every week in the rest of the world is intense and ridiculous and Definitely Very Important Now but in wrestling, you can normally take it or leave it. Not this week though, because Raw's season premiere is the kick-off to what is being (not incorrectly billed) as the most important week in North American Wrestling History. Everyone, everyone, is pumped.

But the problem WWE have is that this is a rare gap in the cynicism for the majority of their fan base. Most people who usually expect to be let down by the company in these situations have left that attitude at the door this week and are, instead, gratefully waiting for something uplifting. This will last precisely as long as they're not disappointed, and there's a real chance that might be as early as the first segment.

If you're reading this WWE - and if last week's NXT and SmackDown articles are anything to go by then you at least skimmed it - please do not start with a lame 20-minute promo that sucks all the air out of the crowd before the bell's even rung. All we want to do is get excited this week, so give us something to get excited about.
