10 Disgruntled Superstars WWE Rewarded With A Push

8. Zack Ryder

Zack Ryder has always been the "happy to be here" type of WWE Superstar who has never publicly expressed interest in going anywhere else. Even Cody, one of his closest friends outside of the ring, has praised Ryder for his talent but has admitted he's content forever working for the company he grew up watching, regardless of the role they have him in.

He's been a United States, Intercontinental, and tag team champion throughout his career, yet WWE couldn't be bothered to put him on a single episode of Raw in 2018 until he said something about it on Twitter. The tweet earned him a spot in a throwaway Battle Royal on the final show of the year, but needless to say, he had aspirations of doing much more in 2019.

It wasn't long after that he reformed his friendship with Curt Hawkins after almost a decade. Hawkins was still in the midst of his record-setting losing streak and so their reunion gave them both something to do creatively.

They suffered several losses before finally beating The Revival for the Raw Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 35 in what was a very cool moment for them both. Even better for Ryder was that he didn't have to drop it the next night, either.
