10 Insights Into Brock Lesnar's New WWE Deal

9. A Few Dates A Year

Going hand in hand with the pay is the amount of dates that Lesnar is required to work. "I work a limited schedule, I work part time, with full time pay," he beamed during his SportsCenter interview. The indication is that the dates are the same as he previously did. That means three to four pay per view matches a year. On top of his matches, he has turned up on Raw a few times to pose or cut promos. All in all, he's likely to make twenty to thirty WWE appearances in total next year. That's the limited amount that suits him, but also enough to satisfy WWE's requirements for promotional purposes. There's a chance that WWE pushed for more dates, but the amount of matches is likely to stay at three to four a year. WWE actually like the idea of a wrestler who only works sparingly, as they believe it keeps Lesnar as a special attraction. How will the WWE locker room feel about a guy who gets millions of dollars for roughly a months work each year? You can probably guess, they'll be annoyed, particularly when roster cuts start in the spring. Most WWE talent are on less than a million and having to work four times a week throughout the year.
